The Company - Pinewoods Technology Services under the Trade Name - https://www.selfdrive.bh will be officially Interpreted / titled as selfdrive.bh for this agreement. This instrument is a contract and governs the legal relationship between selfdrive.bh and the Hirer / Renter.
Selfdrive Mobility operates as an aggregator, collaborating with automobile dealerships, car rental, and leasing companies to host their fleets on its platform. Selfdrive Mobility does not own any of the vehicles rented or leased through the platform. The terms and conditions outlined by Selfdrive Mobility apply for the duration of the client's reservation. In the event of any defaults or disputes, Selfdrive Mobility authorizes its partners, suppliers, or vendors to take appropriate legal action as necessary.
Country-specific domain extensions are used solely for domain representation and are associated with their respective legal entities.
Definitions
a) Booking / Reservation : Whenever a Hirer follows a procedure as laid down on the website and by agreeing to the terms and conditions here in appearing, he is said to have made a valid booking / reservation of the service provided by the Selfdrive.bh.
b) "Hirer" represents (Renter, Driver, Customer, Client, Leaser)shall mean and include any Person who takes a vehicle from selfdrive.bh on rent for driving by himself and is bound by the terms and conditions mentioned here in below and the relevant law of the Land.
c) "Person" means and includes any individual, company, partnership, trust, sole proprietorship or association or body of persons, whether incorporated or not.
d) "Rental" shall mean the entire course of taking/using a vehicle from selfdrive.bh on rent and shall include without limitation the entire period between the date shown on rental agreement/form or handing over the vehicle's key to Hirer whichever is earlier and returning, by Hirer the vehicle in good condition as received along with all its parts, accessories and other property given to the Hirer by Selfdrive.bh, and continues till the full and final payment by the Hirer.
e) "Vehicle" means the Vehicle described in the Rental Agreement that has been rented or agreed to be rented by You (or any substitute vehicle), and includes its parts, components, accessories and contents supplied by Selfdrive.bh
f) "Convenience Fee" A Non-Refundable per transaction fee charged on all Monthly/Micro lease/Personal Leasing reservations/booking including extensions processed through the Call Center, Mobile Application, Website and/or any other mode independent of any other additional charges.
1. Insurance
| a) Comprehensive insurance is provided subject to as per Bahrain Law. The Hirer is liable for the Insurance Excess of BHD [75- 550] - varies per car category - Excess amount for Small BHD 75 - 150, Sedans BHD 150 - 275, SUV BHD 275 - 550, Luxury Cars will have min Excess of BHD 275. Against claims resulting from each and every accident including (hit-and-run) reporting you at fault (as evidenced by a Police report). This can be waived by buying the super collision damage waiver (SCDW). A Fixed Admin service Fee of min BHD 10/- to max BHD 75 will be charged as per the car model. |
b) Hirer/Renter will not do anything that may prejudice any warranty or Maintenance contract given by the manufacturer of the vehicle.
c) The Hirer shall not act in any way that would invalidate the risk or increase the cost of insurance in respect of the vehicle. In the event of breach of this clause the hirer is liable to pay the company for all loss, damage, costs and expenses which arises therein.
2. Kilometers Driven
a) Kilometers are limited to 250km per day, 1500km per week & 3000km to 5000 km per month depending upon the car selected and for Price Lock Option i.e. more than 1 month booking it will be 3000km per month or can offer Unlimited Mileage on selected Rentals, where total additional kilometers including any replacement car provided under the agreement will be charged @BHD 0.05 per km to BHD 1/- varies by vehicle's group and category..
3. Maintenance
a) It includes routine servicing at 1,500 Km (1st Service), oil change at every 5,000 Km, and major servicing at every 10,000 Km or at every six months whichever comes first.
b) All luxury Cars Needs to be serviced with regular intervals. Unless the car issues a service warning. It's the responsibility of the renter / driver to notify Selfdrive on the same immediately.
c) The Company will arrange for regular maintenance in respect of the vehicle with the vehicle manufacturer's, Franchised Dealers or authorized repairers in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and any manufacturer warranty. The customer shall not have the vehicle services, maintained, repaired with any other third parties.
4. Replacement Vehicle/s
In the event of routine service and maintenance, a replacement vehicle nearest in size and amenities to the hired one, as is possible, will be provided at no extra cost.
5. Accidents
In the event of any damage or accident to the car, police must be called before the vehicle is moved and a police report and a repair slip must be obtained. Should these documents failed to be obtained, then the Hirer is responsible for all damages incurred. The obtaining of these documents will be the responsibility of the Hirer.
6. Traffic Violations & Toll Fee (If Applicable)
a) All costs arising from fines, toll fees (if applicable), or other penalties imposed by traffic police, transport authorities, or any other legal bodies during the rental period shall be the sole responsibility of the Hirer/Renter.
b)The Company reserves the right to recover such charges directly from the Hirer's registered debit/credit card, together with applicable administrative and processing fees.
c)The following administrative and processing fees shall apply:
- A service charge of BHD 5 or 15% of the total fine/penalty amount, whichever is higher.
- A processing fee of up to BHD 5 may also be applied in addition to the above charges, depending on the value of the non-rental charges
d)In the event of a traffic violation resulting in a vehicle impound fine , the total amount of such fine plus the applicable service fee shall be charged to the Hirer and paid directly to the relevant transport authority.
e)In the event of black points being imposed where the Hirer is required to visit the police station, it shall be the Hirer's responsibility to complete the process within 2 days of notification. Failure to do so will result in a charge of BHD 10 per day as a late penalty.
f)Where both
black points and vehicle impound are imposed, SelfDrive.bh reserves the right to:
- Immediately terminate the rental agreement; and/or
- Recover the Vehicle by force collection, in order to safeguard Company assets.
h)Continuation of service following traffic violations, black points, or impound cases shall remain at the sole discretion of Pinewoods Technology Services (SelfDrive.bh).
7. Fuel, Water, Oil & Tire Pressure
a) Special or Unleaded fuel is to be used
b) 20% service charge is added to the refueling cost.
It is the responsibility of the hirer to check water and oil levels as well as tires pressure from time to time and keep it maintained at such levels as is expected as per the make of the car. Any kind of Damage or Puncture to the tyre will be billed to Hirer's / Renters, any change in the same needs to be as per the OEM brand, make and specification only.
8. Vehicle Condition & Tinting Glass
a) The Hirer must keep the hired vehicle in a clean, safe, and sound condition. Otherwise charges may be applied.
b) Tinting of vehicle's window glass is not permitted for rented vehicles; a fine of BHD150/- would be imposed on violators/offenders who would be held responsible for the same.
9. Vehicle check-in
a) Hirer must inform selfdrive.bh or its associate partners, before hiring, of his intention to return the vehicle at another premise or other Emirate, and must define the date and time otherwise excess days' charge shall be imposed on him. Any Change in return location other than the location selected at the time of the start of the rentals will be a chargeable service.
b) At the time of vehicle's off-hire, the cost of any un-reported damage/s as well as damages with no police report/s, would be fully charged to hirer's account
10. Driving License
Bahrain Driving license is a must for all residents, while International driving license is required from visitors Driver's License needs to be min of 6 months old or the renter should have a valid home country driver's license, valid for 2 years. If not, the renter would be liable for 10% of the total damage cost + insurance excess.
11. Payment & Deposit
a) Payment terms are negotiated at the time of rental, with credit and debit cards accepted. All rental charges, including any additional fees and a non-refundable convenience fee of up to BHD 24.9 will be charged based on the car model and the service type (Refer to Fees & Charges for details), must be paid in advance. Additionally, a pre-authorization or charge for a security deposit is required to confirm the booking.
b) Payment terms are negotiated at the time of Rental where credit card / Debit Cards payments are accepted. Rental charges will be collected in advance only and a pre-authorization / Charged for security deposit is applicable
Security Deposit : Will be pre-Auth / charged 24- 48hrs before the start date of the rentals.
NOTE : The Renter needs to be the Credit Card Holder or the Card Holder and the Renter needs to be present at the time for collection of the car at the rental counter or Delivery to sign the agreement. In the event the card holder policy is not fulfilled the Reservation will be canceled and 10% Admin Charge will be applicable and the remaining amount will be refunded.
c)The renter needs to have sufficient credit limit to cover min Deposit amount of BHD 150/- to BHD 750 *( Depending on the Car Model Leased / Rented ) ) that will be (Pre-Auth / Charged )* on client's credit / debit card to cover possible traffic fines, minor damage to vehicle (in so far as the amount covers the repair charges, otherwise the balance will be billed to hirer's account); the balance will be released in 30 working days. It is the renter's responsibility to claim the deposit / balance amount within 60 days from the close of the agreement. After the date on which hirer hands-over the vehicle in good and sound condition as specified above, as long as no Traffic Fine/s gets recorded on hirer's Rental. (selfdrive.bh or its associate partners is not responsible for any difference between the amount blocked & the amount released resulting from the fluctuation of foreign exchange rates and other possible banking charges).
d) After Successful Booking, an E-ticket will be sent by Email to registered email id and SMS will be received to registered Mobile No. as Payment Confirmation.
e) Late Payment Charges: In the event of payments not received for extension of a reservation Min Late payment charge of BHD 10 per month on all the late payment Invoiced months will be applicable.
IMPORTANT - EXTENSION of Reservation.
The Hirer hereby authorizes selfdrive and its affiliate partners to seize and/or take steps to seize and/or authorize another to sieze the subject matter rented and/or perform any act that is necessary to retrieve the subject matter and thereafter repossess the subject matter by gaining full physical custody and control of the rented subject matter, upon the hirer commits and/or alleged to have committed an act, which was not subsequently rectified within the time period as notified by the selfdrive or its affiliate partners, that repudiates the contract between the Selfdrive and hirer.
The Hirer further acknowledges that the representatives of the Selfdrive or its affiliate partners have the full authority to accept the delivery of the subject matter rented and the hirer irrevocably agrees to hand over peaceful custody of such subject matter to the representative(s) of selfdrive or its affiliate partners upon a legitimate representation is made to that effect.
In case the Extension are not made with in 3 days of the expire of the car rental agreement or return date, Selfdrive.bh reserve the right to auto extend your current car rental agreement as per the Billing Cycle - Daily | Weekly | Monthly. In the event of monthly billing cycle an auto extension will be made for a min 30 days ( As per as on date rentals rates as applicable on the website + BHD 10 late payment ) and process the payment. No Claims thereafter will be accepted or Refunds will be processed for early return of the car.
IMPORTANT - OFFERS
All offers are limited to only one reservation and same offer rates will not be applicable on extension of the reservation. Offers are limited to car models and time and duration. Selfdrive.bh reserves the right to close the offer period or close the complete offer without any prior notice. All Extension will be shifted to the new rates post the offer ends. Subjected to prior information and confirmation from Selfdrive.bh under Micro Lease *( Advance EMI Plan).
Downpayment Offer :
a. Downpayment processed towards any car under this offer is Non-Refundable
b. No Refund for Early return or cancellation of the booking processed under the downpayment offer
c. Downpayment offer cannot be combined with any other offers (Coupon Code, Tactical Sale offers, Card offers etc.)
d. All other terms and conditions will follow the standard rental terms.
e. Offer is subject to availability and selfdrive reserves the right to terminate this offer without any prior notice or information
Zero Deposit Offer Terms and Authorization of Use for Debit and Credit Card Holder.
a. This offer is valid for a limited period timeand on selected car models.
b. This offer is Exclusively for Debit andCredit Card Holders Only.
c. At any given time the Debit and Credit CardHolder must have enough credit limit to cover the Damages, Fine,Toll Fee (If Applicable) , Dents, Penalty, Fees, Fuel, Tyre, orlosses, if under any circumstances or is found tobreach Pinewoods Technology Services ( Selfdrive.bh)Terms ofContract.
d. Min liability will be the Security DepositAmount Mentioned prior to booking the car and as mentioned onthe Invoice (Eticket).
e. . Incase, any scope of damage is reported,Pinewoods Technology Services ( Selfdrive.bh) reserves the rightto Charge the Card Holder / User with a Min Amount of BHD1500/-on the given card number.
f. The Security Deposit will not be Pre-Auth(HOLD ) to the credit card but the card holder authorizesPinewoods Technology Services ( Selfdrive.bh) to Charge MinSecurity Deposit to cover any Damages, Fine, Toll Fee (IfApplicable), Dents, Penalty, Fees, Fuel, Tyres or Losses or total amountwhichever is higher to its Card.
g. The Card Holder also confirms these chargesto be accepted and Indemnifies that No - card charge back casewill be filed or claimed following the Zero Deposit Offer.
h. Any One who does not wish to be a part ofthis offer should reach out to the company within 24hrs ofbooking the car and opt-out of the offer. Details of yourbooking can be sent to info@Selfdrive.bh
i. All standard terms and conditions areapplicable and per the rental agreement.
12. Selfdrive Credits
a) Any booking cancellation due to KYC rejection will be refunded to Renter/Hirers credit(or) debit card within 7 working days.
b) Any cancellation (Booking, Extension, Installment, Additional services &Non-Rental Charges etc.) other than due to KYC rejection will be refunded to Selfdrive "Credit" within 24 hours.
All security deposit refunds will be processed to Selfdrive credits within 24 hours from the close of the renter's /hirer's reservation.
Utilization of Selfdrive Credits
a) Rental credits can be utilized for new reservations, extension, non-rentals etc.
b) Deposit credit can be utilized for making new reservations as one time deposit.
Claiming of Selfdrive Credits
a) Rental credits can be claimed and will be transferred to renter's/hirer's credit(or) debit card within 7 working days.
b) Deposit credits are transferred from total credits to clear credits after 30 working days.
c) Clear deposit credits can be claimed and will be transferred to renter's/hirer's credit(or) debit card within 3- 5 working days.
13. Delivery / Collection of vehicle
a) Delivery / Collection of vehicle is chargeable and varies according to distance subject to a minimum charge of BHD 5/- each way.
b) Prior to returning the vehicle (Actual Rented Car / Replacement Car) , the customer shall ensure that the vehicle is clean, free from all personal belongings and waste materials and has to return the car with the car with at actual fuel as received.
c) If the returned vehicle contains customer belongings, the same will be kept in the lost and found department and the customer is liable to collect the same within 7 days from the date of such an event. Hence Forward the company and its suppliers do not stand liable towards any losses incurred from the same and would not accept any compensation claims.
14. Airport Surcharge

15. Breakdown Service
We offer 24 hours breakdown service. Hirers have to contact our fleet controller and follow instructions to receive help.
16. Additional Charges
Additional charges shall be applicable to the Hirer for Toll Fee (If Applicable) (Bahrain Tollgate pass) at BHD.050/pass as well as for any other additional requirements of Hirer and as per the Law. It is the responsibility of the renter to carry a baby seat as mandated by the TRANSPORT AUTHORITY and governed by Bahrain LAW to have mandatory child / baby seats. Any fines with regards to the same will be charged to the Renters accounts.
17.Driving outside Bahrain & Off-Road Driving
a) Our vehicles are not permitted to be driven outside Bahrain
b) In the event of breakdown/accident, Hirer is responsible for the vehicle.
c)Our vehicles are not permitted to be used for Safari / Fun-drive / Race / Off roading / Advertising / Hiring / Leasing / Sub Leasing / Contracting / 3rd party Contracting and mobility services / Loans / Use for Loan Security / Financial Rewards. The Hirer will be held liable to pay all damages, necessary repairs & towing charges if he failed to adhere with the same.
18. Usage of Vehicles
a) Hirer commits and agrees that he won't allow anybody to drive the rented vehicle unless been authorized by Selfdrive.bh
b) Hirer understands that neither he nor any of the listed additional drivers will use the vehicle in, Pushing, Pulling or Towing objects, Races & Fun Drive, Rough Roads & desert Safaris, teach Driving, rent the vehicle without selfdrive.bh permission. Hirers that fail to adhere to the same will be held responsible & liable for all charges resulting from damages, penalties, fines & other dues Hirer commits that he/any additional driver will not drive the vehicle outside Bahrain if been pre-approved as specified above.
c) Smoking including the use of electronic smoking devices are not permitted in any of the selfdrive cars.
d) The renter agrees to disclose the location of the vehicle upon request and allow the company or its representatives to inspect the vehicle at all reasonable times and for that purpose to allow entry into any land /premise where the vehicle is located / stored.
19. Minor Not allowed to be a user
Use of website and services of booking / rental / driving of selfdrive.bh is available only to persons who are above the age of 24 years and max 65years and can form a legally binding contract under the local Law. If you are a minor i.e., under the age of majority specified by Law of the Land, you may use https://www.selfdrive.bh only through a parent or guardian, but you are not permitted to subscribe to the services yourself by using the website.
20. We will accept following currency towards payment: BHD only.
21. We expressly state that we do not trade with or provide services in/to OFAC and sanctioned countries.
22. The Hirer must maintain a copy of transaction records and other relevant policies and rules.

Cancellation Policy
a. Selfdrive.bh allows you to cancel a prepaid reservationOnline by the 'Modify/Cancel' reservation page by callingthe Helpdesk.
b. A full refund of the prepaid reservation will be made Ifthe cancellation is made within 7 days of the originalbooking Date and Reporting time; Less an administrative feeof BHD 20 + the Payment processing charges as perapplicable. Flat10% Cancellation charge will be applicable incase the clientis unable to provide the needed documents, Credit card copy,Security Deposit via credit card or any other details thatwould needed by the car rental company which leads tobooking Cancelation.
c. Refunds will be done only through the original mode ofpayment. It will take up to 45 days for the refund transferto be completed. Disclosure to our service providers andagents If at the time of vehicle collection, you wish torent alarger car or rent for a longer period, you may do so,subject to availability, on payment of additional charges.Such charges will be quoted in the currency of the rentingcountry and may be at a higher rate than those previouslyquoted.
Shows/Lost Rentals: Prepaid Reservations(Pay Online)
- If you fail to cancel your reservation prior to the Pick Up Time and do not collect the vehicle on the Pick Up Date, or if you fail to comply with the pick-up terms (refer Rental Qualifications & Requirements), we reserve the right to make a No Show/Lost Rental Charge as full rental amount.
- No Show : If no communication has received for the renter's end in12hrs about any change in the reservation 100% rental will be charged.
- We will refund your prepayment, less the No Show/Lost Rental Charge, if you write to us within 90 days of the Pick-Up Date at Selfdrive.bh Prepaid Accounting Department, info@Selfdrive.bh requesting repayment and enclosing a copy of your Reservation Confirmation.
Early Return
-
1. Rental Refund is not applicable in case of an early return on the cars as per the agreement / contract pre-paid.
2. Refund of down payment is not applicable in case of early return of the car has been under the subscription offer.
3. In case of car is under the long or short rental / lease / subscription offer and is early returned a base 1-month regular rate will be applicable for the used duration and the rates difference will be charged.
4. . In case if he vehicle is under Lease Contract, Early returns Penalties as follows : a.) Within 1 Year - 3 Months Rental will be charged as penalty b.) Within 2 Years - 2 Months Rental will be charged as penalty c.) Within 3 years - 1 Months Rental will be charged as penalty

Late Return Charge
- We reserve the right to make a Late Return Charge of min BHD 10.00 to max BHD 100.00 or a min of 1 day rental + BHD 25 admin fees will be charged to compensate us in part for the costs we incur in finding an alternative vehicle to satisfy our next booking for your vehicle and for our administration costs in contacting you to return the vehicle.
- This charge is not applicable, if you verify that you are not responsible for the damage, no damage has occurred or the actual damage is less than the specified charge.
Refund
- All refund claims need to be processed via pre approval from the company.
- All the details ie. E-ticket, Reservation Copy etc. for the refund needs to be mailed to accounts@Selfdrive.bh.
- All refunds will be processed to clients / Person who made the reservation credit card only.
- All Claims and refund request needs to be processed with 60days from the date of reservation or payments made.
- All deposit refunds will be processed with in 30 business working days and upon receiving total clearance from TRANSPORT AUTHORITY in regards to any traffic fines or Toll Fee (If Applicable) charges. .It will take up to 45 days for the refund transfer to be completed.
INDEMNIFICATION
Without limiting the generality or effect of other provisions of this Agreement, you agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend us, our affiliates, licensees, subcontractors, and agents, and each of our or their officers, directors, and employees, from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees), or other expenses that arise directly or indirectly out of or from
a) your breach or alleged breach of this Agreement/any clause or part, including any violation of the Code of Conduct above; and
(b) your use of this website and engagement in transactions on this website including, but not limited to, use of the Site Materials.
Availability of this Website
This website is usually available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, we retain the right to make this website unavailable from time to time for any reason or no reason. We shall not be liable for any damages arising from any interruption, suspension, or termination of this website.
Definitions
a) Booking / Reservation : Whenever a Hirer follows a procedure as laid down on the website and by agreeing to the terms and conditions here in appearing, he is said to have made a valid booking / reservation of the service provided by the Selfdrive.bh.
b) "Hirer" represents (Renter, Driver, Customer, Client, Leaser)shall mean and include any Person who takes a vehicle from selfdrive.bh on rent for driving by himself and is bound by the terms and conditions mentioned here in below and the relevant law of the Land.
c) "Person" means and includes any individual, company, partnership, trust, sole proprietorship or association or body of persons, whether incorporated or not.
d) "Rental" shall mean the entire course of taking/using a vehicle from selfdrive.bh on rent and shall include without limitation the entire period between the date shown on rental agreement/form or handing over the vehicle's key to Hirer whichever is earlier and returning, by Hirer the vehicle in good condition as received along with all its parts, accessories and other property given to the Hirer by Selfdrive.bh, and continues till the full and final payment by the Hirer.
e) "Vehicle" means the Vehicle described in the Rental Agreement that has been rented or agreed to be rented by You (or any substitute vehicle), and includes its parts, components, accessories and contents supplied by Selfdrive.bh
f) "Convenience Fee" A Non-Refundable per transaction fee charged on all Monthly/Micro lease/Personal Leasing reservations/booking including extensions processed through the Call Center, Mobile Application, Website and/or any other mode independent of any other additional charges.
1. Insurance
| a) Comprehensive insurance is provided subject to current U.A.E Law. The Hirer is liable for the Insurance Excess of BHD [75- 550] - varies per car category - Excess amount for Small BHD 75 - 150, Sedans BHD 150 - 275, SUV BHD 275 - 550, Luxury Cars will have min Excess of BHD 275. Against claims resulting from each and every accident including (hit-and-run) reporting you at fault (as evidenced by a Police report). This can be waived by buying the super collision damage waiver (SCDW). A Fixed Admin service Fee of min BHD 10/- to max BHD 75 will be charged as per the car model. |
b) Hirer/Renter will not do anything that may prejudice any warranty or Maintenance contract given by the manufacturer of the vehicle.
c) TThe Hirer shall not act in any way that would invalidate the risk or increase the cost of insurance in respect of the vehicle. In the event of breach of this clause the hirer is liable to pay the company for all loss, damage, costs and expenses which arises therein.
2. Kilometers Driven
a) Kilometers are limited to 250km per day, 1500km per week & 3000km to 5000 km per month depending upon the car selected and for Price Lock Option i.e. more than 1 month booking it will be 3000km per month or can offer Unlimited Mileage on selected Rentals, where total additional kilometers including any replacement car provided under the agreement will be charged @BHD 0.5 per km to BHD 10/- varies by vehicle's group and category..
3. Maintenance
a) It includes routine servicing at 1,500 Km (1st Service), oil change at every 5,000 Km, and major servicing at every 10,000 Km or at every six months whichever comes first.
b) All luxury Cars Needs to be serviced with regular intervals. Unless the car issues a service warning. It's the responsibility of the renter / driver to notify Selfdrive on the same immediately.
c) The Company will arrange for regular maintenance in respect of the vehicle with the vehicle manufacturer's, Franchised Dealers or authorized repairers in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and any manufacturer warranty. The customer shall not have the vehicle services, maintained, repaired with any other third parties.
4. Replacement Vehicle/s
In the event of routine service and maintenance, a replacement vehicle nearest in size and amenities to the hired one, as is possible, will be provided at no extra cost.
5. Accidents
In the event of any damage or accident to the car, police must be called before the vehicle is moved and a police report and a repair slip must be obtained. Should these documents failed to be obtained, then the Hirer is responsible for all damages incurred. The obtaining of these documents will be the responsibility of the Hirer.
6. Traffic Violations & Toll Fee (If Applicable)
a) All costs incurred as a result of Fines or Toll Fee (If Applicable) or other Penalties (imposed by traffic police or any other legal authorities) taking place during the Rental usage will be Hirer's / Renters responsibility and would be recovered accordingly. Company reserves the right to charge the debit/ credit card to cover the above said given rental and non-rental charges.
b)There will be a Flat Fee of BHD 7 for fines below BHD 35 and Flat 15% for fines above BHD 150 additional service charge on top of traffic fine charges and BHD 0.50/- on top of each Toll Fee (If Applicable) charge.
c). ). In the event of traffic violation where car impound fine is imposed the total amount of such a fine + the service fee will be charged & paid direct to the TRANSPORT AUTHORITY. In case of black points, where the renter is required to visit the police station - it is the renter's responsibility to visit the police station and complete the process failing to do so with 2 days from the date of receiving the details Selfdrive.bh will charge BHD100 per day as late fine. Also, in the event where Black points and Car impound is filed Selfdrive.bh reserve the right to discontinue the agreement with immediate effect & or force collect the car to safeguard its assets. Service continuityis a sole discretion of Pinewoods Technology Services (Selfdrive.bh).
7. Fuel, Water, Oil & Tire Pressure
a) Special or Unleaded fuel is to be used
b) 20% service charge is added to the refueling cost.
It is the responsibility of the hirer to check water and oil levels as well as tires pressure from time to time and keep it maintained at such levels as is expected as per the make of the car. Any kind of Damage or Puncture to the tyre will be billed to Hirer's / Renters, any change in the same needs to be as per the OEM brand, make and specification only.
8. Vehicle Condition & Tinting Glass
a) The Hirer must keep the hired vehicle in a clean, safe, and sound condition. Otherwise charges may be applied.
b) Tinting of vehicle's window glass is not permitted for rented vehicles; a fine of BHD1500/- would be imposed on violators/offenders who would be held responsible for the same.
9. Vehicle check-in
a) Hirer must inform selfdrive.bh or its associate partners, before hiring, of his intention to return the vehicle at another premise or other Emirate, and must define the date and time otherwise excess days' charge shall be imposed on him. Any Change in return location other than the location selected at the time of the start of the rentals will be a chargeable service.
b) At the time of vehicle's off-hire, the cost of any un-reported damage/s as well as damages with no police report/s, would be fully charged to hirer's account
10. Driving License
Bahrain Driving license is a must for all residents, while International driving license is required from visitors Driver's License needs to be min of 6 months old or the renter should have a valid home country driver's license, valid for 2 years. If not, the renter would be liable for 10% of the total damage cost + insurance excess.
11. Payment & Deposit
a) Payment terms are negotiated at the time of rental, with credit and debit cards accepted. All rental charges, including any additional fees and a non-refundable convenience fee (Refer to Fees & Charges for details), must be paid in advance. Additionally, a pre-authorization or charge for a security deposit is required to confirm the booking.
b) Payment terms are negotiated at the time of Rental where credit card / Debit Cards payments are accepted. Rental charges will be collected in advance only and a pre-authorization / Charged for security deposit is applicable
Security Deposit : Will be pre-Auth / charged 24- 48hrs before the start date of the rentals.
NOTE : The Renter needs to be the Credit Card Holder or the Card Holder and the Renter needs to be present at the time for collection of the car at the rental counter or Delivery to sign the agreement. In the event the card holder policy is not fulfilled the Reservation will be canceled and 10% Admin Charge will be applicable and the remaining amount will be refunded.
c)The renter needs to have sufficient credit limit to cover min Deposit amount ofBHD 1500/- to BHD 7500 *( Depending on the Car Model Leased / Rented ) that will be (Pre-Auth / Charged )* on client's credit / debit card to cover possible traffic fines, minor damage to vehicle (in so far as the amount covers the repair charges, otherwise the balance will be billed to hirer's account); the balance will be released in 30 working days. It is the renter's responsibility to claim the deposit / balance amount within 60 days from the close of the agreement. After the date on which hirer hands-over the vehicle in good and sound condition as specified above, as long as no Traffic Fine/s gets recorded on hirer's Rental. (selfdrive.bh or its associate partners is not responsible for any difference between the amount blocked & the amount released resulting from the fluctuation of foreign exchange rates and other possible banking charges).
d) After Successful Booking, an E-ticket will be sent by Email to registered email id and SMS will be received to registered Mobile No. as Payment Confirmation.
e) Late Payment Charges: In the event of payments not received for extension of a reservation Min Late payment charge of BHD 250 per month on all the late payment Invoiced months will be applicable.
IMPORTANT - EXTENSION
In case the Extension are not made with in 3 days of the expire of the car rental agreement or return date, Selfdrive.bh reserve the right to auto extend your current car rental agreement as per the Billing Cycle - Daily | Weekly | Monthly. In the event of monthly billing cycle an auto extension will be made for a min 30 days ( As per as on date rentals rates as applicable on the website + BHD 250 late payment ) and process the payment. No Claims thereafter will be accepted or Refunds will be processed for early return of the car.
IMPORTANT - OFFERS
All offers are limited to only one reservation and same offer rates will not be applicable on extension of the reservation. Offers are limited to car models and time and duration. Selfdrive.bh reserves the right to close the offer period or close the complete offer without any prior notice. All Extension will be shifted to the new rates post the offer ends. Subjected to prior information and confirmation from Selfdrive.bh under Micro Lease *( Advance EMI Plan).
12. Selfdrive Credits
a) Any booking cancellation due to KYC rejection will be refunded to Renter/Hirers credit(or) debit card within 7 working days.
b) Any cancellation (Booking, Extension, Installment, Additional services &Non-Rental Charges etc.) other than due to KYC rejection will be refunded to Selfdrive "Credit" within 24 hours.
All security deposit refunds will be processed to Selfdrive credits within 24 hours from the close of the renter's /hirer's reservation.
Utilization of Selfdrive Credits
a) Rental credits can be utilized for new reservations, extension, non-rentals etc.
b) Deposit credit can be utilized for making new reservations as one time deposit.
Claiming of Selfdrive Credits
a) Rental credits can be claimed and will be transferred to renter's/hirer's credit(or) debit card within 7 working days.
b) Deposit credits are transferred from total credits to clear credits after 30 working days.
c) Clear deposit credits can be claimed and will be transferred to renter's/hirer's credit(or) debit card within 3- 5 working days.
13. Delivery / Collection of vehicle
a) Delivery / Collection of vehicle is chargeable and varies according to distance subject to a minimum charge of BHD.30/- each way.
b) Prior to returning the vehicle (Actual Rented Car / Replacement Car) , the customer shall ensure that the vehicle is clean, free from all personal belongings and waste materials and has to return the car with the car with at actual fuel as received.
c) If the returned vehicle contains customer belongings, the same will be kept in the lost and found department and the customer is liable to collect the same within 7 days from the date of such an event. Hence Forward the company and its suppliers do not stand liable towards any losses incurred from the same and would not accept any compensation claims.
Zero Deposit OfferTerms and Authorization of Use for Debit and Credit CardHolder.
a. This offer is valid for a limited period time and on selected car models.
b. This offer is Exclusively for Debit and Credit Card Holders Only.
c. At any given time the Debit and Credit Card Holder must have enough credit limit to cover the Damages, Fine, Toll Fee (If Applicable) , Dents, Penalty, Fees, Fuel, Tyre, or losses, if under any circumstances or is found to breach Pinewoods Technology Services ( Selfdrive.bh)Terms of Contract.
d. Min liability will be the Security Deposit Amount Mentioned prior to booking the car and as mentioned on the Invoice (Eticket).
e. . Incase, any scope of damage is reported, Pinewoods Technology Services ( Selfdrive.bh) reserves the right to Charge the Card Holder / User with a Min Amount of BHD1500/- on the given card number.
f. The Security Deposit will not be Pre-Auth( HOLD ) to the credit card but the card holder authorizes Pinewoods Technology Services ( Selfdrive.bh) to Charge Min Security Deposit to cover any Damages, Fine, Toll Fee (If Applicable) , Dents, Penalty, Fees, Fuel, Tyres or Losses or total amount whichever is higher to its Card.
g. The Card Holder also confirms these charges to be accepted and Indemnifies that No - card charge back case will be filed or claimed following the Zero Deposit Offer.
h. Any One who does not wish to be a part of this offer should reach out to the company within 24hrs of booking the car and opt-out of the offer. Details of your booking can be sent to info@Selfdrive.bh
i. All standard terms and conditions are applicable and per the rental agreement.
14. Airport Surcharge

15. Breakdown Service
We offer 24 hours breakdown service. Hirers have to contact our fleet controller and follow instructions to receive help.
16. Additional Charges
Additional charges shall be applicable to the Hirer for Toll Fee (If Applicable) (Bahrain Tollgate pass) at BHD.50/pass as well as for any other additional requirements of Hirer and as per the Law. It is the responsibility of the renter to carry a baby seat as mandated by the TRANSPORT AUTHORITY and governed by Bahrain LAW to have mandatory child / baby seats. Any fines with regards to the same will be charged to the Renters accounts.
17. Driving outside Bahrain & Off-Road Driving
a) Our vehicles are not permitted to be driven outside Bahrain
b) In the event of breakdown/accident, Hirer is responsible for the vehicle.
c)Our vehicles are not permitted to be used for Safari / Fun-drive / Race / Off roading / Advertising / Hiring / Leasing / Sub Leasing / Contracting / 3rd party Contracting and mobility services / Loans / Use for Loan Security / Financial Rewards. The Hirer will be held liable to pay all damages, necessary repairs & towing charges if he failed to adhere with the same.
18. Usage of Vehicles
a) Hirer commits and agrees that he won't allow anybody to drive the rented vehicle unless been authorized by Selfdrive.bh
b) Hirer understands that neither he nor any of the listed additional drivers will use the vehicle in, Pushing, Pulling or Towing objects, Races & Fun Drive, Rough Roads & desert Safaris, teach Driving, rent the vehicle without selfdrive.bh permission. Hirers that fail to adhere to the same will be held responsible & liable for all charges resulting from damages, penalties, fines & other dues Hirer commits that he/any additional driver will not drive the vehicle outside Bahrain if been pre-approved as specified above.
c) Smoking including the use of electronic smoking devices are not permitted in any of the selfdrive cars.
d) The renter agrees to disclose the location of the vehicle upon request and allow the company or its representatives to inspect the vehicle at all reasonable times and for that purpose to allow entry into any land /premise where the vehicle is located / stored.
19. Minor Not allowed to be a user
Use of website and services of booking / rental / driving of selfdrive.bh is available only to persons who are above the age of 24 years and max 65years and can form a legally binding contract under the local Law. If you are a minor i.e., under the age of majority specified by Law of the Land, you may use https://www.selfdrive.bhonly through a parent or guardian, but you are not permitted to subscribe to the services yourself by using the website.
20. We will accept following currency towards payment: BHD only.
21. We expressly state that we do not trade with or provide services in/to OFAC and sanctioned countries.
22. TThe Hirer must maintain a copy of transaction records and other relevant policies and rules.

Cancellation Policy
a. Selfdrive.bh allows you to cancel a prepaid reservationOnline by the 'Modify/Cancel' reservation page by callingthe Helpdesk.
b. A full refund of the prepaid reservation will be made Ifthe cancellation is made within 7 days of the originalbooking Date and Reporting time; Less an administrative feeof BHD 200 + the Payment processing charges as perapplicable. Flat 10% Cancelation charge will be applicableincase the client is unable to provide the needed documents,Credit card copy, Security Deposit via credit card or anyother details that would needed by the car rental companywhich leads to booking Cancelation.
c. Refunds will be done only through the original mode ofpayment. It will take up to 45 days for the refund transferto be completed. Disclosure to our service providers andagents If at the time of vehicle collection, you wish torent a larger car or rent for a longer period, you may doso, subject to availability, on payment of additionalcharges. Such charges will be quoted in the currency of therenting country and may be at a higher rate than thosepreviously quoted.
Shows/Lost Rentals: Prepaid Reservations(Pay Online)
- If you fail to cancel your reservation prior to the Pick Up Time and do not collect the vehicle on the Pick Up Date, or if you fail to comply with the pick-up terms (refer Rental Qualifications & Requirements), we reserve the right to make a No Show/Lost Rental Charge as full rental amount.
- No Show : If no communication has received for the renter's end in12hrs about any change in the reservation 100% rental will be charged.
- We will refund your prepayment, less the No Show/Lost Rental Charge, if you write to us within 90 days of the Pick-Up Date at Selfdrive.bh Prepaid Accounting Department, info@Selfdrive.bh requesting repayment and enclosing a copy of your Reservation Confirmation.
Early Return
-
1. Rental Refund is not applicable in case of an early return on the cars as per the agreement / contract pre-paid.
2. Refund of down payment is not applicable in case of early return of the car has been under the subscription offer.
3. In case of car is under the long or short rental / lease / subscription offer and is early returned a base 1-month regular rate will be applicable for the used duration and the rates difference will be charged.
4. In case if he vehicle is under Lease Contract, Early returns Penalties as follows : a.) Within 1 Year - 3 Months Rental will be charged as penalty b.) Within 2 Years - 2 Months Rental will be charged as penalty c.) Within 3 years - 1 Months Rental will be charged as penalty
The company reserves the right to recall the rented car by the client due Vehicle End of service, Expired warranty, Expired Vehicle License / Plate redg / Insurance or any other subject matter to which the car is in a non drivable state a recall of the car has been requested. In the above case (PTS) will provide an alternative option to maintain the basic level service contract. Incase the client refuses to accept the replacement car provided the contact will be considered terminated under Daily, Weekly & Monthly Subscription bookings . Incase of a Leased cars under Lease Pro this will be treated as early termination & standard termination charges will be applicable.
Late Return Charge
- We reserve the right to make a Late Return Charge of min BHD 10.00 to max BHD 100.00 or a min of 1 day rental + BHD 25 admin fees will be charged to compensate us in part for the costs we incur in finding an alternative vehicle to satisfy our next booking for your vehicle and for our administration costs in contacting you to return the vehicle.
- This charge is not applicable, if you verify that you are not responsible for the damage, no damage has occurred or the actual damage is less than the specified charge.
Refund
- All refund claims need to be processed via pre approval from the company.
- All the details ie. E-ticket, Reservation Copy etc. for the refund needs to be mailed to accounts@Selfdrive.bh.
- All refunds will be processed to clients / Person who made the reservation credit card only.

be officially Interpreted / titled as selfdrive.bh for this agreement.
This instrument is a contract and governs the legal relationship between
selfdrive.bh and the Hirer / Renter.
Definitions
a) Booking / Reservation : Whenever a Hirer follows a
procedure as laid down on the website and by agreeing to the terms and
conditions here in appearing, he is said to have made a valid booking /
reservation of the service provided by the Selfdrive.bh.
b) "Hirer" represents (Renter, Driver, Customer,
Client, Leaser)shall mean and include any Person who takes a vehicle
from selfdrive.bh on rent for driving by himself and is bound by the
terms and conditions mentioned here in below and the relevant law of the
Land.
c) "Person" means and includes any individual,
company, partnership, trust, sole proprietorship or association or body
of persons, whether incorporated or not.
d) "Rental" shall mean the entire course of
taking/using a vehicle from selfdrive.bh on rent and shall include
without limitation the entire period between the date shown on rental
agreement/form or handing over the vehicle's key to Hirer whichever is
earlier and returning, by Hirer the vehicle in good condition as
received along with all its parts, accessories and other property given
to the Hirer by Selfdrive.bh, and continues till the full and final
payment by the Hirer.
e) "Vehicle" means the Vehicle described in the Rental
Agreement that has been rented or agreed to be rented by You (or any
substitute vehicle), and includes its parts, components, accessories and
contents supplied by Selfdrive.bh
f) "Convenience Fee" A Non-Refundable per transaction fee charged on all Monthly/Micro
lease/booking including extensions processed through the Call Center, Mobile Application, Website and/or any other
mode independent of any other additional charges.
1. Insurance
| a) Comprehensive insurance is provided
subject to current U.A.E Law. The Hirer is liable for
the Insurance Excess of BHD [75- 550] - varies per car
category - Excess amount for Small BHD 75 - 150, Sedans
BHD 150 - 275, SUV BHD 275 - 550, Luxury Cars will have
min Excess of BHD 275. Against claims resulting from
each and every accident including (hit-and-run)
reporting you at fault (as evidenced by a Police
report). This can be waived by buying the super
collision damage waiver (SCDW). A Fixed Admin service
Fee of min BHD 10/- to max BHD 75 will be charged as per
the car model. |
b) Hirer/Renter will not do anything that may
prejudice any warranty or Maintenance contract given by the manufacturer
of the vehicle.
c) TThe Hirer shall not act in any way that would
invalidate the risk or increase the cost of insurance in respect of the
vehicle. In the event of breach of this clause the hirer is liable to
pay the company for all loss, damage, costs and expenses which arises
therein.
2. Kilometers Driven
a) Kilometers are limited to 250km per day, 1500km per
week & 3000km to 5000 km per month depending upon the car selected
and for Price Lock Option i.e. more than 1 month booking it will be
3000km per month or can offer Unlimited Mileage on selected Rentals,
where total additional kilometers including any replacement car
provided under the agreement will be charged @BHD 0.5 per km to BHD
10/- varies by vehicle's group and category..
3. Maintenance
a) It includes routine servicing at 1,500 Km (1st
Service), oil change at every 5,000 Km, and major servicing at every
10,000 Km or at every six months whichever comes first.
b) All luxury Cars Needs to be serviced with regular
intervals. Unless the car issues a service warning. It’s the
responsibility of the renter / driver to notify Selfdrive on the same
immediately.
c) The Company will arrange for regular maintenance in
respect of the vehicle with the vehicle manufacturer's, Franchised
Dealers or authorized repairers in accordance with the manufacturers
recommendations and any manufacturer warranty. The customer shall not
have the vehicle services, maintained, repaired with any other third
parties.
4. Replacement Vehicle/s
In the event of routine service and maintenance, a
replacement vehicle nearest in size and amenities to the hired one, as
is possible, will be provided at no extra cost.
5. Accidents
In the event of any damage or accident to the car,
police must be called before the vehicle is moved and a police report
and a repair slip must be obtained. Should these documents failed to be
obtained, then the Hirer is responsible for all damages incurred. The
obtaining of these documents will be the responsibility of the Hirer.
6. Traffic Violations & Toll Fee (If Applicable)
a) All costs incurred as a result of Fines or Toll Fee
(If Applicable) or other Penalties (imposed by traffic police or any
other legal authorities) taking place during the Rental usage will be
Hirer's / Renters responsibility and would be recovered accordingly.
Company reserves the right to charge the debit/ credit card to cover the
above said given rental and non-rental charges.
b) There will be a Flat Fee of BHD 7 for fines
below BHD 35 and Flat 15% for fines above BHD 150 additional service
charge on top of traffic fine charges and BHD 0.50/- on top of each Toll
Fee (If Applicable) charge.
c). ). In the event of traffic violation where
car impound fine is imposed the total amount of such a fine + the
service fee will be charged & paid direct to the TRANSPORT
AUTHORITY. In case of black points, where the renter is required to
visit the police station - it is the renter’s responsibility to
visit the police station and complete the process failing to do so
with 2 days from the date of receiving the details Selfdrive.bh will
charge BHD100 per day as late fine. Also, in the event where Black
points and Car impound is filed Selfdrive.bh reserve the right to
discontinue the agreement with immediate effect
& or force collect the car to safeguard its
assets. Service continuity is a
sole discretion of Pinewoods Technology Services (Selfdrive.bh).
7. Fuel, Water, Oil & Tire Pressure
a) Special or Unleaded fuel is to be used
b) 20% service charge is added to the refueling cost.
It is the responsibility of the hirer to check water
and oil levels as well as tires pressure from time to time and keep it
maintained at such levels as is expected as per the make of the car. Any
kind of Damage or Puncture to the tyre will be billed to Hirer's /
Renters, any change in the same needs to be as per the OEM brand, make
and specification only.
8. Vehicle Condition & Tinting Glass
a) The Hirer must keep the hired vehicle in a clean,
safe, and sound condition. Otherwise charges may be applied.
b) Tinting of vehicle's window glass is not permitted
for rented vehicles; a fine of BHD1500/- would be imposed on
violators/offenders who would be held responsible for the same.
9. Vehicle check-in
a) Hirer must inform selfdrive.bh or its associate
partners, before hiring, of his intention to return the vehicle at
another premise or other Emirate, and must define the date and time
otherwise excess days' charge shall be imposed on him. Any Change in
return location other than the location selected at the time of the
start of the rentals will be a chargeable service.
b) At the time of vehicle's off-hire, the cost of any
un-reported damage/s as well as damages with no police report/s, would
be fully charged to hirer's account
10. Driving License
Bahrain Driving license is a must for all residents,
while International driving license is required from visitors Driver’s
License needs to be min of 6 months old or the renter should have a
valid home country driver’s license, valid for 2 years. If not, the
renter would be liable for 10% of the total damage cost + insurance
excess.
11. Payment & Deposit
a) Payment terms are negotiated at the time of rental, with credit and debit cards accepted. All rental charges, including any additional fees and a non-refundable convenience fee of up to BHD 24.9 will be charged based on the car model and the service type (Refer to Fees & Charges for details), must be paid in advance. Additionally, a pre-authorization or charge for a security deposit is required to confirm the booking.
b) Payment terms are negotiated at the time of Rental
where credit card / Debit Cards payments are accepted. Rental charges
will be collected in advance only and a pre-authorization / Charged for
security deposit is applicable
Security Deposit : Will be pre-Auth / charged 24-
48hrs before the start date of the rentals.
NOTE : The Renter needs to be the Credit Card
Holder or the Card Holder and the Renter needs to be present at the
time for collection of the car at the rental counter or Delivery to
sign the agreement. In the event the card holder policy is not
fulfilled the Reservation will be canceled and 10% Admin Charge will
be applicable and the remaining amount will be refunded.
c) The renter needs to have sufficient
credit limit to cover min Deposit amount of BHD
1500/- to BHD 7500 *( Depending on the Car Model Leased / Rented )
that will be (Pre-Auth / Charged )* on client's
credit / debit card to cover possible traffic fines, minor damage to
vehicle (in so far as the amount covers the repair charges,
otherwise the balance will be billed to hirer's account); the
balance will be released in 30 working days. It is the renter’s
responsibility to claim the deposit / balance amount within 60 days
from the close of the agreement. After the date on which hirer
hands-over the vehicle in good and sound condition as specified
above, as long as no Traffic Fine/s gets recorded on hirer's Rental.
(selfdrive.bh or its associate partners is not responsible for any
difference between the amount blocked & the amount released
resulting from the fluctuation of foreign exchange rates and other
possible banking charges).
d) After Successful Booking, an E-ticket will be sent
by Email to registered email id and SMS will be received to registered
Mobile No. as Payment Confirmation.
e) Late Payment Charges: In the event of payments not
received for extension of a reservation Min Late payment charge of BHD
10 per month on all the late payment Invoiced months will be
applicable.
IMPORTANT - EXTENSION
In case the Extension are not made with in 3 days of the expire of
the car rental agreement or return date, Selfdrive.bh reserve the
right to auto extend your current car rental agreement as per the
Billing Cycle - Daily | Weekly | Monthly. In the event of monthly
billing cycle an auto extension will be made for a min 30 days ( As
per as on date rentals rates as applicable on the website + BHD 10
late payment ) and process the payment. No Claims thereafter will be
accepted or Refunds will be processed for early return of the car.
IMPORTANT - OFFERS
All offers are limited to only one reservation and same offer rates
will not be applicable on extension of the reservation. Offers are
limited to car models and time and duration. Selfdrive.bh reserves
the right to close the offer period or close the complete offer
without any prior notice. All Extension will be shifted to the new
rates post the offer ends. Subjected to prior information and
confirmation from Selfdrive.bh under Micro Lease *( Advance EMI
Plan).
12. Delivery / Collection of vehicle
a) Delivery / Collection of vehicle is chargeable and
varies according to distance subject to a minimum charge of BHD.30/-
each way.
b) Prior to returning the vehicle (Actual Rented Car /
Replacement Car) , the customer shall ensure that the vehicle is clean,
free from all personal belongings and waste materials and has to return
the car with the car with at actual fuel as received.
c) If the returned vehicle contains customer
belongings, the same will be kept in the lost and found department and
the customer is liable to collect the same within 7 days from the date
of such an event. Hence Forward the company and its suppliers do not
stand liable towards any losses incurred from the same and would not
accept any compensation claims.
Zero Deposit Offer
Terms and Authorization of Use for Debit and Credit Card
Holder.
a. This offer is valid for a limited period time and
on selected car models.
b. This offer is Exclusively for Debit and Credit
Card Holders Only.
c. At any given time the Debit and Credit Card
Holder must have enough credit limit to cover the Damages, Fine,
Toll Fee (If Applicable) , Dents, Penalty, Fees, Fuel, Tyre, or
losses, if under any circumstances or is found to breach Pinewoods
Technology Services ( Selfdrive.bh)Terms of Contract.
d. Min liability will be the Security Deposit Amount
Mentioned prior to booking the car and as mentioned on the Invoice
(Eticket).
e. . Incase, any scope of damage is reported,
Pinewoods Technology Services ( Selfdrive.bh) reserves the right to
Charge the Card Holder / User with a Min Amount of BHD1500/- on the
given card number.
f. The Security Deposit will not be Pre-Auth( HOLD )
to the credit card but the card holder authorizes Pinewoods
Technology Services ( Selfdrive.bh) to Charge Min Security Deposit
to cover any Damages, Fine, Toll Fee (If Applicable) , Dents,
Penalty, Fees, Fuel, Tyres or Losses or total amount whichever is
higher to its Card.
g. The Card Holder also confirms these charges to be
accepted and Indemnifies that No - card charge back case will be
filed or claimed following the Zero Deposit Offer.
h. Any One who does not wish to be a part of this
offer should reach out to the company within 24hrs of booking the
car and opt-out of the offer. Details of your booking can be sent to

i. All standard terms and conditions are applicable
and per the rental agreement.
13. Airport Surcharge
| All Airport
Parking charges needs to be paid by the
renter. In case the payment is done by
selfdrive additional BHD 5 will be
charged as Surcharge. |

14. Breakdown Service
We offer 24 hours breakdown service. Hirers have to
contact our fleet controller and follow instructions to receive help.
15. Additional Charges
Additional charges shall be applicable to the Hirer
for Toll Fee (If Applicable) (Bahrain Tollgate pass) at BHD.50/pass as
well as for any other additional requirements of Hirer and as per the
Law. It is the responsibility of the renter to carry a baby seat as
mandated by the TRANSPORT AUTHORITY and governed by Bahrain LAW to have
mandatory child / baby seats. Any fines with regards to the same will be
charged to the Renters accounts.
16. Driving outside Bahrain & Off-Road Driving
a) Our vehicles are not permitted to be driven outside
Bahrain
b) In the event of breakdown/accident, Hirer is
responsible for the vehicle.
c)Our vehicles are not permitted to be used for Safari
/ Fun-drive / Race / Off roading / Advertising / Hiring / Leasing / Sub
Leasing / Contracting / 3rd party Contracting and mobility services /
Loans / Use for Loan Security / Financial Rewards. The Hirer will be
held liable to pay all damages, necessary repairs & towing charges
if he failed to adhere with the same.
17. Usage of Vehicles
a) Hirer commits and agrees that he won't allow
anybody to drive the rented vehicle unless been authorized by
Selfdrive.bh
b) Hirer understands that neither he nor any of the
listed additional drivers will use the vehicle in, Pushing, Pulling or
Towing objects, Races & Fun Drive, Rough Roads & desert Safaris,
teach Driving, rent the vehicle without selfdrive.bh permission. Hirers
that fail to adhere to the same will be held responsible & liable
for all charges resulting from damages, penalties, fines & other
dues Hirer commits that he/any additional driver will not drive the
vehicle outside Bahrain if been pre-approved as specified above.
c) Smoking including the use of electronic smoking
devices are not permitted in any of the selfdrive cars.
d) The renter agrees to disclose the location of the
vehicle upon request and allow the company or its representatives to
inspect the vehicle at all reasonable times and for that purpose to
allow entry into any land /premise where the vehicle is located /
stored.
18. Minor Not allowed to be a user
Use of website and services of booking / rental /
driving of selfdrive.bh is available only to persons who are above the
age of 24 years and max 65years and can form a legally binding contract
under the local Law. If you are a minor i.e., under the age of majority
specified by Law of the Land, you may use https://www.selfdrive.bhonly
through a parent or guardian, but you are not permitted to subscribe to
the services yourself by using the website.
19. We will accept following currency towards
payment: BHD only.
20. We expressly state that we do not trade with or
provide services in/to OFAC and sanctioned countries.
21. TThe Hirer must maintain a copy of transaction
records and other relevant policies and rules.

to you, anyone claiming for/through/under you or in trust/as fiduciary
for you or any third party for any direct, indirect, incidental,

negligence, strict liability, or other theory/law, or consequential loss

failure to effect delivery of the vehicle or for any damage incurred in
the course of delivery .
c. For any events outside of the company’s reasonable
control, including but not limited to office computer system or
telecommunication failures , act of God or terrorism.
d. for any loss or damage which is not reasonably
foreseeable to the hirer.
Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with this website
and/or site materials contained within this website is to stop
using/choosing not to start using at all this website and/or site
materials, as applicable. Your use of this website will be presumed and
deemed to be a use after having fully read, understood and accepted
these terms and conditions here in contained

"Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection
with this website shall be governed and construed in accordance with the
laws of Bahrain".
If you use COMPANY Site, you are responsible for
maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for
restricting access to your account from any devices, and you agree to
accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
or password.

Cancellation Policy
-
a. Selfdrive.bh allows you to cancel a prepaid reservation
Online by the 'Modify/Cancel' reservation page by calling
the Helpdesk.
-
b. A full refund of the prepaid reservation will be made If
the cancellation is made within 7 days of the original
booking Date and Reporting time; Less an administrative fee
of BHD 200 + the Payment processing charges as per
applicable. Flat 10% Cancelation charge will be applicable
incase the client is unable to provide the needed documents,
Credit card copy, Security Deposit via credit card or any
other details that would needed by the car rental company
which leads to booking Cancelation.

c. Refunds will be done only through the original mode of
payment. It will take up to 45 days for the refund transfer
to be completed. Disclosure to our service providers and
agents If at the time of vehicle collection, you wish to
rent a larger car or rent for a longer period, you may do
so, subject to availability, on payment of additional
charges. Such charges will be quoted in the currency of the
renting country and may be at a higher rate than those
previously quoted.
Shows/Lost Rentals: Prepaid Reservations
(Pay Online)
- If you fail to cancel your reservation prior to the Pick
Up Time and do not collect the vehicle on the Pick Up
Date, or if you fail to comply with the pick-up terms
(refer Rental Qualifications & Requirements), we
reserve the right to make a No Show/Lost Rental Charge
as full rental amount.
- No Show : If no communication has received for the
renter’s end in12hrs about any change in the reservation
100% rental will be charged.
- We will refund your prepayment, less the No Show/Lost
Rental Charge, if you write to us within 90 days of the
Pick-Up Date at Selfdrive.bh Prepaid Accounting
Department, info@Selfdrive.bh requesting repayment and
enclosing a copy of your Reservation Confirmation.
Early Return
-
1. Rental Refund is not applicable in case of
an early return on the cars as per the agreement
/ contract pre-paid.
2. Refund of down payment is not applicable
in case of early return of the car has been
under the subscription offer.
3. In case of car is under the long or short
rental / lease / subscription offer and is early
returned a base 1-month regular rate will be
applicable for the used duration and the rates
difference will be charged.
4. In case if he vehicle is under Lease
Contract, Early returns Penalties as follows :
a.) Within 1 Year – 3 Months Rental will be charged
as penalty
b.) Within 2 Years – 2 Months Rental will be charged
as penalty
c.) Within 3 years – 1 Months Rental will be charged
as penalty
.
Late Return Charge
- We reserve the right to make a Late Return Charge of min
BHD 10.00 to max BHD 100.00 or a min of 1 day rental +
BHD 25 admin fees will be charged to compensate us in
part for the costs we incur in finding an alternative
vehicle to satisfy our next booking for your vehicle and
for our administration costs in contacting you to return
the vehicle.
- This charge is not applicable, if you verify that you
are not responsible for the damage, no damage has
occurred or the actual damage is less than the specified
charge.
Refund
- All refund claims need to be processed via pre approval
from the company.
- All the details ie. E-ticket, Reservation Copy etc. for
the refund needs to be mailed to accounts@Selfdrive.bh.
- All refunds will be processed to clients / Person who
made the reservation credit card only.
- All Claims and refund request needs to be processed with
60days from the date of reservation or payments made.
- All deposit refunds will be processed with in 30
business working days and upon receiving total clearance
from TRANSPORT AUTHORITY in regards to any traffic fines
or Toll Fee (If Applicable) charges.
.It will take up to 45 days for the
refund transfer to be completed.
The company reserves the right to recall the rented
car by the client due Vehicle End of service, Expired
warranty, Expired Vehicle License / Plate redg / Insurance
or any other subject matter to which the car is in a non
drivable state a recall of the car has been requested. In
the above case (PTS) will provide an alternative option to
maintain the basic level service contract. Incase the client
refuses to accept the replacement car provided the contact
will be considered terminated under Daily, Weekly &
Monthly Subscription bookings . Incase of a Leased cars
under Lease Pro this will be treated as early termination
& standard termination charges will be applicable.
Indemnification
Without limiting the generality or effect of other
provisions of this Agreement, you agree to indemnify, hold harmless,
and defend us, our affiliates, licensees, subcontractors, and
agents, and each of our or their officers, directors, and employees,
from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs
(including reasonable attorneys' fees), or other expenses that arise
directly or indirectly out of or from
a) your breach or alleged breach of this
Agreement/any clause or part, including any violation of the Code of
Conduct above; and
(b) your use of this website and engagement in
transactions on this website including, but not limited to, use of
the Site Materials.
Availability of this Website
This website is usually available 24 hours a day,
7 days a week. However, we retain the right to make this website
unavailable from time to time for any reason or no reason. We shall
not be liable for any damages arising from any interruption,
suspension, or termination of this website.
